Sue is a wonderful, laid back, competent, talented instructor! Lessons are affordable and accessible, and made for darn near everyone it seems. I'm 32 and just started my violin journey, but she has taught me so much in a very short amount of time. I've become obsessed. If you have the heart to learn, I say give it a whirl! There are master classes offered for more advanced students, and opportunities to meet with masters and peers along the way. You won't have a single regret, especially if you decide to learn from Sue. You needn't worry about judgement, and you have very limited dealings with the Catholic school itself. Again, this is affordable, relaxed, top-notch education.

My daughter has been taking lessons from Sue for over 6 months now. She has learned so much already on the violin and she looks forward to her lessons! Sue is great at communicating with me and making sure I am aware of everything my daughter needs to practice as well as reminding me of upcoming recitals.

Sue is an excellent violin instructor and passionate player of the instrument which is inspiring and fun for my daughter to learn from and with! She knows how to teach technique in a way that resonates easily with children, sets expectations for them and holds them accountable in a firm yet supportive way, and provides ample opportunity for performance and enriching experiences with other strings students.

Sue is a talented and patient instructor. She encouraged my kids to develop love for music. They play the violin, and Sue was their first teacher. Sue provided the confidence they needed to practice and learned new songs by themselves. She also teaches music theory.

Sue is such dedicated instructor for students. She always does her best on teaching and I have seen students' improvement on playing in every recital.

Sue is a very patient and experienced teacher. She is very friendly and will try different approaches and techniques when it comes to teaching since not every student learns the same way.

Sue Lewis has been our family music teacher for the last 4+ years. My kids have significantly improved in their instrument skills with Sue as their teacher. Sue makes learning fun and challenges them to do their best.

I am a current student of Sue's, and I play the viola. She is a wonderful teacher, incredibly patient and I look up to her skills. She is also quite funny which I find to be a relief when learning and messing up.

After almost 20 years of not playing any musical instruments, Sue has helped me regain an appreciation of the joy and beauty of practice.

Sue is a wonderful teacher, who not only focuses on playing an instrument but also on developing form, technique, and music theory. She is very patient and attentive and will tailor each lesson based on your needs as a musician. She is strict yet kind, encouraging students to be their best and to move out of their comfort zones. I am learning the cello and have been taking lessons with Sue for 7 months. I have really enjoyed my time as her student. She teaches with enthusiasm and each lesson can vary from practicing scales to playing music to studying music theory. Her lessons can also be repetitive but in a good way. Often at times, we will go over a single piece of music for more than a month and the repetition helps to build foundation and technique. Even after a month, the improvements are vast. I would recommend Sue to anyone interested in learning a string instrument. She really knows her stuff and is excited to share her knowledge with anyone willing to put in the hard work.

Sue teaches well rounded violin classes with focus not only on playing the instrument but also learning music theory. This approach has given me the confidence to join a music group at my school as well a preform in front of others. I would recommend Sue to anyone interested in playing. She is a patient but demands that the student invest time into their instrument not just show up for lessons. Overall great lessons that are fun but you learn a lot in them.

I started violin lessons with Sue after feeling "stuck" with another instructor. I am SO glad I changed. I've learned so much and for the first time feel I may eventually be able to play. Sue has a clear way of explaining technique, etc. I enjoy her enthusiasm and energy and would recommend her for any adult student (kids too)
Sue Lewis is the best music teacher ever! She takes time in our lessons to help us improve and she is very professional. She gives us lots of tips on improving our struggles and she's the funniest person ever. She makes lessons fun and enjoyable. 5 stars!!!
